Support Our Work- Sponsor a Scholarship

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is seeing more requests for scholarship support from those who are forcibly displaced than ever before. These
requests are from individuals who, in their home countries, were often at the height of very successful careers in areas such as politics, business,
human rights, science, academia, law, medicine, engineering, the arts and software design.

Conflict and persecution destroy careers, qualifications, families and an individual's sense of self. With immense determination and courage,
sanctuary scholarship applicants have overcome numerous barriers to achieve places on highly competitive courses at the UEA.

Current rules prevent asylum seekers from being able to work or access Student Finance England. Therefore, most find themselves locked out of
higher education in the UK and unable to take up their place to study.

We want to collaborate with you to support those seeking sanctuary to gain qualifications in the UK so that they can start rebuilding
their lives.
